Do you think this would be cool?
What if after you completed a chapter, there was some kind way you could earn realstate in game.Like having a rpg part in the game.
When you complete a chapter you get a piece of Tyria.after you saved Tyria the King of Ascalone gives you a title like" Baron "with that title you get property and the ability to build your property up.
The property would be like sims,at first it baron of any buildings,u have to start by getting some labor force,so u have to go through the game helping certin npc to be able to hire them for your cause.
Instead of having guild halls at the begining of the game,it would be someting earned, the only way to be a guild leader is to have beaten the game.
Once you have gotten your property you could start to recruit people for your guild, you would still have to come up with a cape and name for the guild.
Now as a guild leader you would be able to give members of the guild task to build the guild up.Like materials you need or funds needed to buy certin battlements. Also they could help you complete task to get more NPC to protect your guild from other guilds.
Yes you will need to protect your guild from other guilds.
As you are build your guild others have built guilds as well and as they adventure they will eventualy find yours. They will be able to build partys up to attack your guild, and if your not online the npc will do there best to protect it.
Through in game quest you will beable to recruit npc to defend your guild ,build battlements also the building themselves.any member of the guild will be able to gain rank for leading attacks on other guilds and by what they contribute to the guild it will be up to guild leaders to give rank points for contributions, but for leading battles in a win /lose they will atomaticly be given rank points or rank points will be taken away for losses.
Giving the area your guild is the town folks near there will be able to be recruited to mass armys once your guild is stong enough.
It gets kind of complicated, but my vision is truly GUILD WAR,you would be able to attack guilds across the map,you would be able to build army to mass a attack on some one elses guild.
Once you have beatin a chapter and created a guild it would be on the map.Anyone would be able to see it once they have descoverd your little abode.
The guild would be able to mass treasure.Treasure would not be able to be spent. You would have a vault in your GH.If you attack another guild and defeat it you gain treasure, that way it only pays to attcak the stronger guild. The stronger guilds will have more treasure and it will prevent the abuse of stronger guild defeating a weeker guild over and over.
Giving the weeker guilds the opretunity to build up there forces and build up they'r defence's.
Not sure if this will get past the moderator, but if it does it just a thought I have had for some time.A-net has stated they wanted to be diffrent. So I figured I would put it out there so others myight see.If you like my idea or you think of other things that could be implamented in this dream of mine please leave a comment.THANKS GOAST

sounds cool if it could be properly implemented but i thing u would need a persistant world in order to implement it properly with GW1 instanced the way it is i dont really see how it could work out quite the way u wrote it but GW2 is a whole other story i see no reason it cant be done in GW2

Its a cool idea and I wouldn't mind seeing it in a beta somewhere but I dont think it could be done in the current system, as Synles Chyld said, perhaps we may see something like it in a persistent world that will be used in GW2.

As we've seen from other playing experiences, as pointed out here, gamers like this kind of interaction. Definitely something to think about for GW2.

Whats the point of this, just an add-on to the game. This is like a hack-slash kind of game not a game that you build halls and ten defend your hall of evil attackers, if you want that play spore or sims.

Well it would be sort of sims like, the building of the hall and sorts but with the Guild Wars theme.I was reading a artical about how GW is tring to bring the two styles together,I just was thinking out of the box.No online game or any game for that matter was going in that direction.
